How to Use a Security Key to Lock Down Facebook

Passwords aren’t enough to protect your data. As an IT professional, you know that. But, did you know you can add a physical security key to your Facebook account to lock it down?

The social network recently added a new security feature called login approvals. It requires a Universal 2nd Factor (U2F) compatible USB key, supported by the FIDO Alliance. Right now that limits your available options to a few keys, such as those by Yubico. U2F keys like these can also be used to secure other passwords such as Google, Dropbox, Salesforce and GitHub.
