After launching its 5G Evolution network in Austin a few months ago, AT&T is now lighting up another city with its improved LTE coverage.
AT&T 5G Evolution is now live in parts of Indianapolis, Indiana. This means that AT&T customers that live in Indianapolis and have a Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ can take advantage of AT&T’s 5G Evolution service.
With 5G Evolution, AT&T upgrades select cell towers with LTE Advanced technologies like 256 QAM, 4×4 MIMO, and 3 Carrier Aggregation. So while AT&T’s 5G Evolution service isn’t true 5G, it does offer faster LTE speeds to compatible phones.
