Google Inc. yesterday rolled out a new Google Maps feature that will either help you remember your favorite places or creep you out.
Google’s “Your Timeline” will show all the places you’ve been on any day you choose from your past. Like Timehop, the popular app that shows your social media history on a particular date, the feature offers a glimpse into exactly where you have been.
The tool – zig-zagging lines of your paths on Google maps – could be useful for a range of tasks. It could help you track personal habits. If you’re health-conscious, you could check out how many times in a month you hit up a gym versus a fast food joint.
