LG G8 ThinQ reportedly receives Android 10 update on its first US carrier

LG seems to think its smartphone portfolio lacks “wow factor” in a quest for mainstream popularity and business profitability, but if you ask the company’s rapidly diminishing user base, we’re fairly certain poor software support is likely to be highlighted as a key reason why more and more people are turning their backs on the long-struggling brand.

After doing a terrible job of spreading the Android Pie love in late 2018 and early 2019… and mid 2019, and late 2019, the Korea-based tech giant vowed to step things up for a swifter Android 10 rollout, and indeed, the LG G8 ThinQ received a relatively quick update to the newest OS version. Of course, the over-the-air delivery started in LG’s homeland a couple of months ago, and we never got our hopes up for a speedy expansion to Western markets.
