With September’s iPhone 8 already old news, it’s now time to turn our (soon to be stolen) faces towards the other smartphone Apple has planned for this year. The premium iPhone X launches November 3, and you can pre-order it later this week. But naturally some folks have already gotten their hands on the device and footage is cropping up in the wild.
One of the more intriguing and hypnotic bits of footage we’ve seen of the iPhone X in action shows off how the phone handles switching apps. A defining feature of the phone is its lack of a physical home button. Everything is performed through intuitive touch gestures, even more so than with a standard smartphone. Combine that with the smoothness of the iPhone X’s iOS 11-powered user interface and animations, and even something as basic as hopping between apps becomes a visual treat.
