For the last few weeks, we have heard that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will contain a 4000mAh battery. That would be a 33% improvement over the 3000mAh cell found on last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and would match the battery on the Samsung Galaxy S7 active. But a fresh report published today, says that the battery on the Galaxy Note 7 will have a capacity of 3600mAh. If true, this would still provide a 20% hike in battery capacity for the next iteration of Sammy’s high-end phablet.
The rumor about a 3600mAh battery comes from Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, whose track record when it comes to forecasting specs is rather uneven.
