Rumors have been blowing up the perception of Google’s ambitions to manufacture its own products. Sure, it’s made its own Chromecasts, it’s going to make its own Google Home smart assistant, but what about that Pixel C tablet? How about a phone? Two Android Wear Watches?
It seemed like the giant was about to encroach upon the tiny partner manufacturers it relied on to deliver a standard Google software experience.
