Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ get certified by the FCC

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have just received their FCC certification. Hold your horses, though – this is by no means indicating that the two flagships are arriving earlier than usual; we still largely expect them to swing by a few days before MWC ’18 next year kicks off in late February.

The FCC regulation agency has approved devices with the codenames SM-G960F and SM-G965F, which coincide with the expected model aliases. The certification means that the two devices are now closer to being released in the US than ever before and is merely the legal groundwork for the handsets’ arrival on this most important market.
