Snapchat reportedly buying Bitstrips for $100 million

Snapchat filters are big, letting users alter their face with things like dog ears and makeup or even letting them swap faces with another person. According to a new report, Snapchat has acquired a service that offers another way to have fun with your face.

Snapchat is purportedly going to acquire Bitstrips, maker of Bitmoji, which are cartoon emojis that you can make yourself and share with others. The deal is said to be worth around $100 million, says Fortune, but neither Snapchat nor Bitstrips have confirmed the deal.
