It looks like T-Mobile’s thinking about offering just that, as a leak reveals some upcoming data-centric Simple Choice plans.
The document suggests that on March 30, T-Mobile plans to introduce Simple Choice Data Only plans, combining a fixed basket of data with unlimited SMS – and no voice at all.
Rates start as low as $20 a month for a 2GB plan, jumping up to 6GB for $35, and peaking at 22GB for $95 (with a bunch of other options in between). It might have been nice to see something like a $25 3GB or $30 4GB plan in there, but these still seem to be some pretty attractive offerings for users who just don’t feel the need to talk to people over the PSTN anymore.
