Huawei making Android smartphones as long as OS is open, CEO says

Huawei may be hedging its bets if A-Googlypse happens. The Chinese manufacturer was rumored to be developing its own operating system in case Android becomes untenable to work on. Paired with suggestions that Samsung may be converting its future mobile products to Tizen, it would seem that companies are checking their confidence in Google.

Well, Huawei CEO Richard Yu decided to come out on microblogging site Weibo and reaffirm the company’s commitment to Android.
