Want Google Assistant now instead of waiting for it to arrive? Here’s how to do it

As we told you last week, Google is rolling out Google Assistant to all Android handsets powered by Android 6.0 and higher. The latest version of Google is more conversational than the current version of Google Now, and was originally found only on the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.

Google also made it a feature on its Allo messaging app. Besides running Android 6.0 and higher, Google Assistant requires a screen carrying a resolution of 720 x 1280 or higher, and 1.5GB of RAM or more. Most phones running Marshmallow should easily qualify.
