With luxury watch maker TAG Heuer responsible for the design, Google for the software, and Intel for the chipset, those $10,000+ Apple Watch Edition units could soon have a real competition on their hands.
The three companies just got off the stage at Basel, Switzerland, where a partnership for developing ‘the greatest connected watch’ was announced, with Android Wear being front and center in it. but when the company behind the Zenith, TAG Heuer and Hublot watch brands takes over the chassis, we can expect some wonderful looking gear in the end.
