On Thursday, BlackBerry pushed out an update to the version of BBM for Windows Phone. Moving over from the beta version of the app to the regular version is support for BBM Channels. These are discussion groups that allow you to post comments and get involved in conversations with other BBM members.
BlackBerry, iOS and Android users are probably yawning over this news. That’s because BBM Channels has been available to BlackBerry users since November 2013. Last year, the feature was added to the iOS and Android versions of the messaging app. As of last November, there were 1.1 million different channels available.
