Pebble was one of the first companies to really take a swing at making a modern smartwatch. Its first product came out more than a year before Android Wear and two years before the Apple Watch. However, demand for its more basic smart wearable experience has waned somewhat since then, and the company had to cut staff.
Now, Pebble is back on Kickstarter with revamped Pebble smartwatches and a new micro-computer. The campaign has already far surpassed the $1 million goal.
