Samsung has trotted out the new president of its mobile division, Dongjin Koh, so that he could discuss his vision for the future of Samsung’s smartphone business. “We should try something new. Something never done before,” said the executive when asked about the stagnant mobile market.
He points out how it was the Samsung Galaxy Note that created the phablet craze. The executive stated that he always put people first during his more than thirty years working at Samsung. Prior to getting the gig as president of Samsung’s mobile division, he was in charge of mobile R&D.
